Very upset with Infiniti over the last few months after being extremely pleased with them for three years prior. I recently lease an Infiniti Q50 for 24 months with intouch without Navigation. Very excited with this purchase based on the potential capability I was sold on with the apps they were going to release in Fall 2013*. Originally all infiniti perephenilia listed Apps being released in Fall 2013 now they have changed that to just late availability and no time frame in place. I was also sold on the Bluetooth capabilities and text messaging capabilities but later found out this was not available on the Iphone 5s or with IOS 7. I feel like I have been taken advantage of and that Infiniti has dropped the ball greatly recently especially in their IT apps department. Now they are having challenges and have a recall with their Steer by Wire, what's next they become insolvent? I am very unhappy with infiniti and wish they would be truthful and would get a handle on what they have marketed and created.
This has been my experience so far...Before my Q50S, I had an A5 Audi which was a beast! I loved that car, just hated the dealership. They were rude and I just had bade experience after bad experience. I swore that my next car would come from a Ray Catena dealership, who was known for their customer service. Unfortunately Ray Catena does not have an Audi dealership. I had leased the Audi. Through the years I have saved up money and have recently decided to start my family. I researched cars, test drove many and honestly nothing really met my fancy. Mercedez was nothing great and BMW has not changed the interior of their car in YEARS. I went to Infiniti, because my husband had the G37 Coupe and loved it. I was looking for a four door family car that still had spunk and class. The guy at the infiniti dealership told me about this new model they were releasing in JUNE. I was like, this is perfect! My lease for the Audi was up in June. After reading everything the car had to offer and going over everything with the sales guy I was sold. I was paying CASH for this car so I wanted everything and anything because I would have this car for a LONG TIME and wanted to be 100% satisfied. I was told of all the cutting edge technology it would offer. That I wouldn't have to ever worry about texting and driving because this car does everything for you. "their intouch" system was incredible and offered apps like Facebook, Pandora etc. I was amazed at the cameras in the car (which many cars already had), but loved that it had all these features. I also liked the fact that the car was being built around the run flat tires because they tend to give the car a bumpier ride than regular tires. So I pre-ordered my car in February...anticipating the June release.
Now it's the end of June and the dealership tells me oh by the Fourth of July the car will be ready. The fourth comes and goes and still no car. I am now without a vehicle basically until August 5th, when I drove my car off the lot. They lied to me in the release date and honestly that meant a lot to me because I was careless for a good month and a half. Now after I drove my car off the lot I ended up losing 3 lug nuts on the highway because some jerk didn't tighten the tire on all the way and I literally could of shaken the tire off the car. Luckily I am ok. Then my intouch system freezes and on occasion when it freezes the screen will go black. I can't control the sound on the radio, the climate of the car, the cameras don't work. I go to the deal ship and they thought is was nuts until people from japan actually came to look at my car. I have since gotten all of the updates and the screen still freezes from time to time. Now they have promised all of this application software to be available for November, then December, now we are looking at next year. They sold me on something that was fake. They didn't have everything together with this car and it's appealing technology is not available to me. YES, the car runs like a gem, the transmission is great, there are NO other problems and I love the car. BUT I am disappointed that I was led on to believe all these things that would be in my car that are not. Paying $60,000 cash for a car that I though I would have the top technology in, be ahead of the game with other competitor cars...NOPE, the **** Honda Accord has Pandora! My overall opinion of the Q50S is and A+. MY OPINION OF INFINITI IS A F. I feel they fibbed to all of us and made promises they did not keep!
Sorry for the long post but that's my story. Let's hope for a new update that will make us all happy for 2014. Until then let's enjoy our Q50s, because it is a beautiful car!
