I have been trying to understand the limits of the Intelligent Cruise Control. My trust in the system is building, however I have detected a limit where I am wondering if it by design or a defect.
When a car in front of me (within a certain distance) slows down and stops, the cruise control correctly stops the car.
The question is when the car is outside of the limit and stops the cruise control completely ignores the car. Even when eventually the car comes into range of the car, the cruise control ignores the car.
I have found it rather disturbing that I am accelerating towards a group of stopped cars and the indicator for the cruise control doesn't indicate that there are any cars in front of mine.
Anyone have similar experience or and way of getting the cruise control to recognize stopped traffic?
