Has anyone noticed a low humming or whistle sound coming from ac fan?At driving speed of 20mph and fan speed at level two you can hear the fan making a noise. I don't think this is a normal sound but service writer says it is. like to have some response before I contact corp.

I have the same noise. The G37 has even noisier fan.
I guess it is normal for Infiniti.

i've got that sound too, its a super faint high pitched whistling noise. can it be replaced? ive been meaning to take the car into the dealership to get it looked at but never got around to it.

Infiniti corp told me the fan noise is standard. Hard to believe car costing this much that they haven't fixed the problem yet. Other people have called complaining on this issue. Guess we need more complaints or live with the car whistling back at you.

If it is a known issue, they should have fix it.
It matters for me since I usually drive the car late night to get some peace of mind (no sound system in the background). Hearing the pitch bothers me.

Anyway, I think it is solvable problem. It has something to do with the shape of the fan. Macbook pro actually solved this problem by making changes on the fan design. Why not Infiniti and for the price of this size?

Also, you mentioned that it happened on G also which makes me think that Infiniti tried. Q interior is a lot quitter than G, and I can hear it a little bit. They might had worked on it.

I heard it to just tonight all of a sudden. And it's on level 1. I did not hear the same noise on my 2006 G35 coupe. It's hum / whining noise.

That fan failed totally in my BMW, at about 70K miles. Inferior weather shielding for the fan ruined the bearing, costing $600. It started by making a ticking noise.

I haven't heard the noise. Whatever it's cause, it's not acceptable in an Infiniti. It should be replaced under warranty. Of course, they'll have to first determine if it's a manufacturing or design defect, and act accordingly.

I have the same noise and I hate the car for this reason. Corporate states" It is characteristic of the car"! 55K FOR THIS CAR I DON'T THINK SO!

Same problem with my Q50S. Got the its a normal sound from the service department. I will call Corp to lodge my complaint. This should not be acceptable for this type of car. My G37S did not have this issue.

My 2012 Altima did not have this irritating whinning fan noise but it has it in my 2015 Q50S That $20K more! Very disappointing.

My 2011 G37S AWD had this issue the last summer I had it. Worst of all, it started about 1/2 way on my trip to Lime Rock Park (CT) from Central NJ, on a hot summer day going to see the ALMS (American LeMans Series) race in 2013. I got my Q50S that September and I've been wondering ever since whether or not this was going to pop up as an issue. Sorry for those that are experiencing it with your Q - and hope I don't with mine!

Take it to the dealer ASAP.

Yep only happens some time. Only with ac it seems I first noticed it when the dual mode was on. toggling ac made it go away.
