-And at least on Android, the Infiniti Connection app leaves your phone's GPS turned on after you exit it. This happens even if you exit it via the Back button (as opposed to leaving it via your Home button). If you don't want your phone's battery to burn down, you must completely kill the app 's Android process. To do that, either a) use the Application Management setting, select the Infiniti Connection app, and press the Force Stop button, or b) long-press your home button to get the process list and swipe away the Infiniti Connection app.

It's no surprise that yet another Infiniti Android app is ill-behaved. -As a software developer and part-time Android developer myself, I can tell you that many of the in-car InTouch bugs described in this thread wouldn't have even gotten off my desk, let alone deployed to the field!

I noticed that. Since it's the second app that does that on my phone (the first one was the Wegmans grocery store app), I downloaded the app "App Ops Starter" that allows you to fine-tune the permissions that each app has. I just disabled location services for the misbehaving apps. This only works on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean).
