Haven't heard anything to the contrary, but that sure is disappointing news if true...
Where did you hear that there would be a fee to use the apps? If that's true, it's going to be very hard to convince any third party developers to support inTouch. (And it's going to be very hard to convince me to ever consider buying another Infiniti.)Wow, the website said Fall? Some said December? But now it's in Feb?
Also, disappointing that there is a fee for using the apps after trial ends. The 2014+ Lexus doesn't require a subscription to use free apps like Pandora etc etc.

I hope you were joking. He said 2014.Did he say which year?
$20 bucks for free aps which use my phone bandwidth paid for by self seems like a no go for me.I hope the February thing is final. It's kind of disappointing buying a new car on the premise of having all this new technology, just that now I have to wait another 90 days or so to have access to it. And even then it could be longer.
I also don't get why they need to charge $20 a year for a subscription. The car is supposedly going to use the bandwidth that we already pay for on our phones for streaming purposes right?
So what are we paying for exactly? Is it just the ability to have our phones communicate with the intouch system in the car in order to sync/download apps?
Haven't tried this, but I have tried it with youtube and the audio comes right through. This is with a Samsung Galaxy S3.$20 bucks for free aps which use my phone bandwidth paid for by self seems like a no go for me.
Has anyone tried playing music from Pandora ap on phone, and blue tooth sinc with the radio yet? Does that work?
This works fine for me on my iPhone using iTunes radio. In fact, the iTunes radio playlists appear on the inTouch display regardless of whether I connect via USB or Bluetooth.$20 bucks for free aps which use my phone bandwidth paid for by self seems like a no go for me.

Agree, but even the basic interface is a buggy mess. I just can't understand how it passed the QA tests. Unless we are the QA testers.Without the update, I guess you'll just have to put up with just driving the car and listening to music on the radio, CD, iPod, etc. and using your phones for communication- hopefully, you'll have the rolling office sometime next year.![]()
