There was supposed to be an InTouch update sometime in September 2013.

Then perhaps during the last quarter of 2013. Plus am I wrong in believing that a major update to cure all/most of the issues with the navigation system was to be available by the end of 2013?

I haven't heard of either recently nor is anyone inquiring about them.

Has apathy set in and a "give up" mindset is prevailing?

What's going on?

Postponed. A new release will be ready for the 2015 models in the Fall.

I don't see that happening so late as it is available for download abroad.

Certainly I've given up. Infiniti has provided no legitimate answer, nor explanation for the delay, even though some of us are nearly a quarter of the way into our leases. Talk about a broken promise.

This is what they want us to do, give up.

Why do what they want?

They said we would have these features. Hondas, Toyotas, Kias all have similar and more interactive features, why not us? Continue to question.

*EDIT*

See the response from Infiniti on FB today after I asked about the InTouch:

Hello again Shamil,

At this time we have no new details to share regarding the Infiniti InTouch Apps™. Your Infiniti retailer will be in contact with you when it becomes available. Again, we apologize that we are unable to provide more information to you.

Additionally, we are honored to have you as a loyal customer for so many years. Please feel free to reach out to us anytime.

Thank you and have a wonderful weekend!

It was posted in another thread by another member. And I believe one of the reply from an employee? was we never stated which fall. (2013 or 2014).

And if you didn't know, Fall 2013 has passed.
So like i thought.. You "heard" somewhere the apps were NOT coming to the 2014 model.

Oh BTW.. The Infiniti web site switched from "Fall" to "Late Delivery" for the apps around November / December.

What's your problem bro? Why are you trying to argue with me? Do we have the updates yet? NO!

"Late Delivery".... LOL yeah, that's clears it all up.

All he is trying to say is you don't know for sure either VBX.
Good to see your two year old attitude came out.
Do yourself a favor and return the car and get something you actually like.

Infiniti has really dropped the ball on this. To release a car that is not yet complete and then state the updates will be out in a few months. Now a few months has turned into an unknown amount of time. The number of problems this car has is unreal.

Also, when I try to sign up for the mobile app, it says that I am not the registered owner of the car and I have to call to update the issue. I can never get the time to call and have had the car since October unable to use any of these features. Partly my fault but if the paperwork and information was correct to begin with I would not have this issue.

This is my third Infiniti and most likely my last. Audi is going to gain another customer when my lease is over.

Can someone clear something up for me?

I got the notification in the mail about the service campaign to update the DAS and InTouch software (not the real update you're talking about here). I had this update done at the dealer a week and a half ago. The notification said that this update is supposed to include "enhanced SiriusXM functionality," which I took to mean that it would enable Travel Link. Since getting the update, I haven't noticed ANY differences from before. I can't see anything related to Travel Link, though I'm not sure if I have to first subscribe to the service. I would have thought there would be a menu option for it anyway, and when I pressed it it would tell me I needed the subscription.

I checked my software version number. It says I have:

Android Version 2.3
System Version 2.3.7.0578

I'm pretty sure that I had *.0578 after the last software update in October, but I can't remember which Android Version I had. I know others have reported they have *.0646, but I thought I read somewhere that the latest software update upgrades the Android Version from 1.9 to 2.3.

Can someone please tell me if I have the latest software, or is my dealer really as incompetent as I think they are?

When you got the update did you get the SiriusXM icon in the InTouch System. I have the that now and included in the icon are some other options. The upgrade also was to make the volume button on the steering wheel act faster.

No, I have no SiriusXM icon in the InTouch menu. That's what I expected, but there is nothing there. And as for the volume button, yesterday it stopped working. Neither the steering wheel buttons or the knob on the dash worked. This is not the first time I've had this bug happen either.

I think you should give them a call, because I didn't have that icon before and was told when I dropped my car off that it would be there after the update. Before I left with the car they showed that the icon was there and working.

That's funny, because I got an email survey from SiriusXM asking for feedback about my call to them on the date my car was at the dealer. I didn't call them that day, so I assumed that the dealer must have called to activate something, or to refresh my radio.

Not sure what they could have done. I haven't gotten an email survey from them. I keep getting emails asking for me to select my listening preferences though.

I haven't been to the Infiniti site in a while, so maybe this has already been discussed.

Infiniti no longer advertises the updated features.
See: InTouch Vehicle Infotainment System | Infiniti USA

All references to the Fall update, anything to do with Pandora, FB, or other apps are gone. More particularly the marketing material to potential customers of cars that include InTouch makes no references to future apps.

Infiniti is such a sack. I'm still liking the car, and say all you want about early adopters, but it's another level entirely to flat out lie to people.

On the Q50 website, under Features / Technology they show the app's and the fun term of "Late Availability"
