You believed your salesman? (see my sig).

No one knows for sure. We may still see it in September, but I've been telling clients October-ish. The latest word from Infiniti is "fall".

i am curious when I ordered my q50 back in April, and put down a deposit of $500, I was given a customer ID# for which I would receive a "complimentary $350.00 Apple Gift Card". I took delivery of my Q50Hybrid august 22, 2013 but NO gift card has been forthcoming.
Who can i contact to get it? Any help would be appreciated.

Same for me. I have had some minor issues, such as SXM category menu not being selectable, slow reaction from steering wheel volume control, occasional GPS menus not appearing, occasional USB iPod issues. Otherwise, I've been enjoying the **** out of the car! None of these issues have impacted performance, drivability and none of the issues have been permanent.

I have seen an early list of the bug fixes in the newest OS version, and it looks like all the things mentioned in this thread should be addressed as well as many I have not even heard of. They are beta testing it now before it goes live which according to people I have spoken with is "very soon"... So basically there is no release date just yet, but it is coming (and that is not just dealer BS).

As with the initial software update this will take about 1.5 hours and require the car to be at the dealer.

I've also heard the smartphone app is on the way to integrate and operating all of the apps is en route but there is still no eta on that. (Hopefully they were just waiting to test it with iOS7)

I would love to see a faster load time when the car starts up as well. I hate waiting 45/75 seconds for everything to load before driving.

+1 on the responsiveness of the interface too.

I notice a lag when pressing the physical button that changes the air flow direction for the A/C and heat. I usually have to press it twice for it to respond or use the inTouch Climate controls to change the air flow (air flow meaning changing the air from just the upper vents to upper and leg, etc)

That list of bug fixes include speeding up the responsiveness of the interface?
I think they have begun to streamline the boot process but I do not think this generation will have a fast boot option. On the back end seeing what checks are run during every startup sequence, the amount of time taken by the system is a bit excessive but I do not see any significant changes coming.

I know feedback and response time of several functions within what they call the HMI (Human Machine Interface) have been improved with the new update. The version I have seen was still pre release and I suspect there will be a few more things available in the market version.

I was told by training that it was late sept/early oct and that after that future updats can be loaded via USB from home.
I do not think this will be one of the updates that is deployed that way. There is a BIOS update that requires installation from the backend. I suspect Infiniti will continue to not want owners loading that type of update on their own. If the loading procedure fails at a specific point it bricks one of the computers. I do not think it has happened yet...but it remains a possibility and I am sure they would like to control the conditions under which they are done. Now when it comes to updating apps I suspect those will be end user updates.
I do think the piece of paper that is on the drivers visor when new states the update that is coming in the fall will require a trip to the dealer, but I guess we will have to wait and see.

That's some good info...thanks for the update. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what its really like.

That's good to know. The response time when scrolling through contacts, for example is just awful.

For a faster load screen I think they will have to simplify things more, I heard with software it's what can be done to speed up the start up.
if they do simplify it it's going to be tough, since they have to keep all the stuff we love at the same time

declutter!

Technically, yes. But it's horribly pixelated and not the right picture. But I recognize the picture as one of my facebook contacts, and it comes up for EVERYONE who calls.

I have an HTC One, if that means anything.
You have something wrong, my pictures are sharp and different for each contact.
