Just picked up the new car late last night. Having some issues already. There is no beeping when backing up and close to an object, when backing up the lines don't always appear only sometimes. And How do I shut off the speed sensor for the radio volume. Thanks.

The backup lines don't load right away when the car is started. You have to wait 90 secs (I believe). For the Audio, press on the Settings Button then Audio Icon. I believe the setting is in there. Good luck with your new Q50.

This is only on non-Tech cars. If you have the Tech package, the lines load immediately. I think this is supposed to be improved in the Fall update for non-Tech cars.
Thanks. What about the beeping noise. Why isn't that working. And I can't find how to shut the speed sensor off for the volume. It's not in setting.

Does your car have the BOSE system. If so, I believe thats called the BOSE Audio Pilot Setting that controls the speed sensitive radio volume.

Sensors are only in deluxe touring...your salesman didnt go over much with you, did he?

That is what that setting does.
i actually prefer not having the beeping...so i have to check and see instead of relying on the beeping...

as for the parking lines...sometime mine doesnt come on when i'm not in a parking lot...i thought that was the car being smart but if its becuz it needs an update which is coming out i can wait...it wasnt bothering me anyways
thanks for all the info and help.. does any one know when the new up date is coming out?? another question I have is when I get a text message why doesn't it go though the speakers.. and my phone does let me know either while im in the car.. thanks
i meant to say doesn't let me know
Unofficially, update in November. Officially, who knows.

Text messaging - depends on your smart phone. On iPhone, you have to activate it in the Bluetooth settings on the phone. That will let the car read text messages received. But still cannot reply to them via car though, not on iPhone.

On Android, I think you can send and receive. But will let others speak to that.
Seriously Staten, as Jason said, you really should have gotten most of this info from your salesperson when they did the delivery of the car. If they didn't cover it, and/or can't answer your questions, you need to make sure you reflect their inadequate service when you fill out your survey. Salespeople like Jason and I work really hard to make sure clients get a complete, informative and thorough delivery on any new car. And we're available any time for any question. In return, we ask that our clients give us all 10's on the survey Infiniti sends out. I hope I earn those top marks on every delivery - I certainly try. IMO, anything less deserves dramatically lower scores from you as the client. Nearly every question you've asked is something that should be covered by your salesperson.

I don't want to discourage you from coming here for help and info. But you paid a salesperson for this car - make sure they earn their commission.

I bet that Jason and Sinecure's customers appreciate the full service delivery they get. I am about to get my fourth Infiniti and I just can't sit through another lengthy delivery. Maybe I have ADD. However, I can call my salesperson or the service department at my dealership anytime and get help from them. I can honestly give both the salesperson and the service department all 10s.

I agree with what your saying. But I got the car from a leasing company. They didn't know anything about the car. I wish they know about the car and could have showed me all the new things this car has. That's the main thing I miss from not going to a dealership. That's why I have so many questions which most of u guys know already.

I guess you've got a lot of reading to do - the two manuals are all of 650 pages long.:D

Just my two cents and opinion, but it seems that most of the folk that have been the hardest on the car are those that didn't get a proper introduction of the car at the dealer at delivery. Or checked out the manuals.

This is exactly correct. And I'd bet money that the journalists who panned the car are the worst offenders.

Staten not only got zero customer service, but he got the privilege of paying two commissions. One to the leasing company and one to the salesperson they dealt with. I do not understand why people use brokers.

There's a PDF version someone member uploaded in the past. Read that instead, it's easier and could be resized accordingly.
Too bad no Cliff's Notes available for the owner's manual. Cliff's Notes go me through high school.
Download the manuals in pdf and do a search for anything you are looking for. Hasn't failed me yet.
