Wasn't trying to do a pull for logging but one sorta happened anyway as I was tearing around town. But it made me think about the boost taper, the island of efficiency of the turbos and what if I added a bunch of boost at the higher RPMs to counter the commanded ECU PSI taper. Sure it wouldn't be efficient but would more power be made than what I can expect from the taped as it is now?

Thats more or less what I was doing. Was like +5.5psi at 5k rpm, +6.5psi at 5.5k and +7.5psi at 6k, +5.5psi at 6.5k and +3psi at 7k. Boost was almost flatlined 16psi 5k to 6k rpm. Then slowly tapered down to 14-14.5psi at 6.5k rpm. 66-6700 shifts about 13-13.5psi. 7degrees timing at 5k rpm to 13.5 degrees at 6.5k rpm. Trims 30-40 range. If I punched it around 4-4.5k+ it would “spool spike” to about 17-17.5psi real quick before settling to actual normal values I’ve seen ECU psi hit almost 13 like this. But if you log wot 3500 you should avoid this.

Not a crazy amount of boost overall but she pulled to redline. Wasn’t a fan of a big hit of torque mid range for 2second just to slowly fall off top end until you shift again. Like the satisfaction of revving out to make more power or at least holding onto it.
