How the **** do you link your key to the memory settings. Every time someone moves my seat and I get back the seat doesn't go to its memory preset unless I press the memory button 1.

Isn't this supposed to take place when it recognizes my key?

I have the profiles created, but when I get in the car the seat memory won't work automatically, meaning that I have to press the memory button in the case someone has moved the seat and steering wheel

When you touch "Edit" on your profile, did you link the fob key to your profile?
Since there are 2 fob keys, make sure you link to the correct key. It should remember how you last adjust your seat since you got the tech package.

Also, is there a way to switch the settings to a different fob?

My wife's is labeled as fob1 but barely ever drives the car. Not a big deal but I'd like to be able to do that without having to reset everything and create a new user for myself.

I think it's better to create a profile for yourself and your wife.
Whenever your wife drive your Q50, she just select her profile. This way none of your setting will be affected.

Yup - that's what we did. I just wanted to have my profile set for key #1 instead of key #2 since it's my daily driver and she rarely drives my car. Not a big deal. Just wondering if you could switch the key number set to each profile.

Thanks!

When you get into your car, turn it on and set the memory seat, steering wheel, and mirrors where you like them. Hit the set button, and hold down either the one or the two. Once you see the orange light, hold the unlock button on whichever key fob you wish to set it to, and the orange light will start flashing. Once it is done flashing, it will be programmed. This will connect the specific key to that specific seat, mirror, and steering wheel position so that when you open the door, it moves to it automatically. Hope this helps!

Also, each user will be set up to a certain fob, so go into the user settings and make sure you have it set to your fob, and not hers.

My Q50 memory set is set correctly to my key (fob 1), but does not work when I am the user. For some reason the seat switches to my wife's profile (fob 2) and this is driving me crazy!!! Help someone!!!
I think your wife did something to your fob;)

Thanks for that. I've read the manual and never ran across this info - may I ask where it's documented? Thanks again.

I'm not sure this is documented in the manual. It is a step that should be done when the sales consultant delivers your vehicle to you after you purchase or lease (one of the differences between a good sales consultant and a bad one). It is a very easy process, and if you need anything else you can always pm me.

Matt,

My guy did that, but my wife was not there to do hers...She used the car last evening, and when I got back in to use it (with my key)...I unlocked the door and the seat did not switch over...however, if I hit "1" (my positions) on the door, it switches over fine...I'll see what happens later today and let you know..thanks for all your help!

Try deleting your user profile and making one with your key in it so it know your key, and then try reprogramming the seats again. As long as the user is matched up to the seat positioning, it should move to your 1 position as soon as you unlock the car.

The car just seems to forget the user settings from time to time...The memory seat buttons on the door always work all the time, but as far as when you unlock the doors from the handle, that's a whole other issue..Sometimes it thinks it's my wife (key 2) when it's me and sometimes it works perfectly...Annoying!!

John21mart, the problem is that you need to read your in-touch manual that came with your car or use help in the car system, please read section 8-28 on Intouch manual :FULLY CUSTOMIZABLE DIGITAL ENVIRONMENT.
