Anyone with the optional kickplate lighting that can confirm.

It appears that the kickplate only lights up on the door side that lights up first. For example, if I get in the driver's side, the Infiniti kick plate lights up but if my passenger opens their door it's not lit. If the passenger side opens first, it does light up on their side.

Is this normal?

The kickplates should light up whenever each individual door opens. It should not matter which one is or isn't open, but whatever ones are open should have the kickplates lit up.
