It won't work if your pin starts with a 0 (there's a bug). If you pin doesn't start with a 0, it works through the app no problem

It appears to have worked after multiple attempts. My guess is my cell service is just bad. The coverage is spotty where I currently am.
Could be that. Also, remember it isn't instant like when you use the remote. Signal has to bounce off some satellites after getting processed by the app and the center.

I've tried it and it works pretty well so far here in NY. Still can't believe though that this whole system uses 2G. I notice in some area's there's no signal when driving for the Telematics.

Once you get your much awaited Q50, your dealer rep SHOULD sign you up for Infiniti Connection but if you're like me, you'll have to contact the Infiniti Connection help support and have them set you up by taking a picture of your paperwork listing your name and VIN.

Regardless, once setup, you can create a profile on the owners portal and then download the Infiniti Connection app (pic below shows the app homepage).

Your dealer should have set it up for you. Search in the apps store for Infiniti Connection.
Oh so it's in the I Connection? Thx.

:p actually I haven't got my car yet, but of course already downloaded the app a while ago. lol. Thought if its a separate app I might download it to try on my M loaner. ;)

Almost there. ... 4 days ...

Almost there

Chick, thanks!! :) As you can imagine, I already registered on "Portal owner" site (although don't even have a car to register under..); and already downloaded I connection although no VIN to activate... :D

Well, I have a feeling, by the time I get my Q, I probably can set up all those (with some support from Infiniti if needed) a lot more efficient than my dealer!! ;)

This forum prepared me well!! :D thank you!

It would be cool if they can set it up for you before you get the car and constantly lock/unlock the doors while it's in Japan so they get the hint to hurry their A$$es up :p
;)yes, but cell provider service will nail you for international charges for locking and unlocking a car that you haven't paid for:p

it would be great if they could set it up for us, make it part of the Pre-Delivery Inspection and in the end have happier customers! What better than just getting in your car and driving! Better than sitting in it fumbling around with things and not enjoying it

Mine was setup for me during my delivery. Was a really good experience actually. You guys had to set it up after you got the car?

Do you know if it was set up at the dealer or before it got their?
It's linked to Infiniti Connection, so once that's activated then you can just download the app & you can lock/unlock remotely. I would think it's the responsibility of the dealer to ensure IC is set up; at least mines did.

If your salesperson doesn't set up all this stuff, you aren't getting what you paid for (or you're super cheap and haggled him down to a nothing deal - in which case you got exactly what you paid for).
