The gunmetal part is black on the midnight black grill.

Looks great. I really dont mind the gunmetal of the other grille but this is a nice little touch.

It does look nice but I'm not sure I could ever justify $400+ plus install on something that your average human being would never notice. If Infiniti thought the black color looked better, they should have just painted them all black.

Infiniti paid for mine. ...The black grill is also available on the G37 & M37/56 as an appearance package options. It just a way for them to grab more money like the IPL models.

I just looked at it again. It's about the same shade as the fog light brackets. The lower grill has a mat finish to it and the Midnight Black Grill doesn't.
