Good, it worked!
So here's the story.
It's been one of the best and most beautiful summers in Seattle... until about 2 days ago when it started to rain, pouring rain. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind rain! Actually I miss rain if its been dry for several days..

. But not this time! I have been so very patiently waiting for my MB to arrive and hoped to enjoy the unique purple hue in the precious sun. After a LONG 3.5 months, finally I'm going to pick up the beauty, the sun hides away...
Yesterday morning, still pouring rain, foggy, stormy, ...I drove 1.5hrs to the dealer and was 30 min early for my delivery appointment. The sales lady told me how thoroughly the guys washed, detailed and prepared my car. "Not even a finger print!" She bragged. I almost laughed at her car-washing statement, but when I saw the car. I was HAPPY! She is beautiful! Tinted, with all weather matts and cargo net, so shiny, so elegant, so striking, and .. so black.

I couldn't resist but politely requested for the original slip and other paper to make sure it IS indeed my MB!
The rest is just the routine delivery. The lady is very knowledgable, and obviously was glad to show off all the training she received for Q. She explained all the features; She sets up my user profile, driving mode, iPhone connection, personal assistant, .. And I was able to listen to the text finally! (Hoping the new update will let me reply like those androids SOON!

)
Finally, 4.5 hrs later, I was on my way back home. Fri afternoon work traffic on a so very crowded I-5!

I dared not to use the cruise control in the bumper to bumper traffic during the 1st hr after I'm sitting behind the wheel, no matter how intelligent it is, and how helpful it could've been helpful as I saw on my past test drive. However, at least the rain stopped. And I noticed how often the green EV sign was on during the "parking" traffic. - This is something very new to me and I found myself fascinated by the "energy flow chart" during the drive. Psychologically it's very rewarding, I think!

. But of course I could also ignore that and had some fun picking up the speed and enjoy the sporty ride! This car is simply awesome!
And I LOVE the lights! Even the parking lights! I noticed the reflection in the window of the store today when I approached and parked. Look at those eagle eyes! Too bad I couldn't capture a good enough pic, but I figured we already have some good ones here on the forum.
Today is a new day! Sunshine, high 60s. I took my new baby out for some casual driving, and took some pictures. I'm still getting used to the dead silence when she moves.

Every time I park the car or before I go back to the car, I stop and admire her beauty.
And every time I carefully wipe off any visible finger print on the car...Something I NEVER did in the past ...
Thank you for your patience! Hope you are (will be) enjoying your Q50 as I do!
