Is 33% state law requirement, or your preference?33% on front and 4% on back windows (all ceramic). I don't think it's too dark but I'm use to it. Texas sun can really burn a car up in the summer. Have your tint guy hold up samples to the light.
33% is pushing the inspection limit for TX. (Though I seem to see darker ones all the time.)
Texas you can go as low as 25% on the front windows, and no limit on other windows.33% is pushing the inspection limit for TX. (Though I seem to see darker ones all the time.)
Don't forget to add in the natural tint already present in most factory windows. A 25% tint will put you past the light transmission requirement of 25%.Texas you can go as low as 25% on the front windows, and no limit on other windows.
Nice!!!This is mine after a wash and polish. The tint is 3M 30%. Since the interior is dark it makes it look darker than it is. I probably could have gone to a 25 or 20% at most and would have looked good but any lower I think would be too dark.
Thanks! Well I think every brand is different, so the colors tend to look slightly different even it's the same percentage. Even between the 3M versions the colors were slightly different. I thought my Acura had 40% but it might have had 35%, I just don't remember.Nice!!!
Hey man! Whatever happened to nothing under 40%? Btw, how did everything go at that shop? Would u recommend them?

Yeah, if it's not too dark. At 30% you can still see the driver and if anyone is in the passenger seat, so they might give you a warning a if they pull you over for something else. BUT, if you're tint is too dark and the CHP can't see you at all then you will most likely get pulled over just for your tint and will give you a ticket. I've had all my cars window tinted in CA and have never been pulled over. Can you get away with those tint in California?
The tint sure looks good. I need to get mine tint soon.

Absolutely, you should get it. You can always get 20-30% on the rear windows and then 30 or 40 on the fronts. Thanks for the encouragement. I probably just go 40% just to be on the safe side. It's 94 degree outside and when I get in the car, it's HOT.
I wish mine is tinted now.
Good info man! Ill probably give them a call then! Probably going to go for 40% all around or maybe even 50%Thanks! Things went well and didn't take them long to do. I think they were slightly expensive but they had good recommendations and they did a good job on my car. So I would recommend them.
BTW, it isn't as dark as it looks, it's was sundown and I polished the windows as well so there is the reflection too.
I'd say it depends! I was pulled over for having a 35% front tint! But then again it was more of an add-on to my speeding ticket! Can you get away with those tint in California?

Ahhh! That's good to know man! Hopefully 35% is fine with them then!Exactly. I've been pulled over but never got a ticket for my tint.
I have a lot of friends that are police and they say they don't pull people over for tint unless it's way too dark and they can't see them or they are driving like an A$$.
My car is malbec black with mirror tint. double wrapped. 20% behind mirror tint.Nice! Thanks for sharing man! Hmmmmm...15% might be too dark! I personally wouldnt go past 20-25% but I would suggest to google pics of 15% tint to at least get an idea, as well as different percentages!
