Can you see the curb rash? Yea, me either. I wish I had taken a before picture showing the rash, but it wasn't pretty. I took the car to the dealership and for $150 a rim guy who comes once a week re-machined the rim to look brand new. I honestly don't know where the rash even was anymore, but every side of the rim looks like this photo. I tried a non-dealer rim repair with my G37S once. Never again. They got the paint all wrong. It was subtle, but I could tell their paint didn't have that Infiniti glazed look on it. Anyways, just thought I'd share for anyone who's had the same unfortunate accident as me. For $150, I think it's well worth it to take it somewhere where they'll for sure do it right.

We have a guy our shop uses who does similarly awesome work. We charge about the same. You should see how bad some used cars are when people trade them in.

I probably have a closer relationship with my dealership over the years than my own doctor. They always take great care of me.

I just made a doozie of a curb rash this evening—ugh, it hurts to look at it. :( I need to go in to the dealership and see what they will charge.

Click the link in my signature. At the bottom of the document there are links to a VERY good franchise of repair people in most every state.

Also do you have a picture? Before and after?
I'm sorry, but I did not think to get a before picture. Trust me though, it was a bad rash. It even scraped up the central grey colored spoke pretty badly.

Sewell in Houston or Dallas DFW?

I was concerned if it was to be machined would they take too much material off the rim or is filled and then machined.

Thanks in advance.
My dealer is West Houston Infiniti. They did take some material off the edge of the rim, but it isn't noticeable if you aren't looking for it. If you look back at the picture you might see what I am talking about.
