New bug? Passenger sensor/seatbelt indicator

1576 Views 8 Replies 8 Participants Last post by  chicagokevo
I have noticed that if I have a passenger in the car who exits and I keep driving without restarting the vehicle, it doesn't seem to realize the seat is empty in that it continues to illuminate the fasten seatbelt indicator on the instrument panel.

Is anyone else seeing this?

Certainly must be another bug....

I have seen this. But it goes away after sometime, knowing nobody is seated there. But I think it lasted a few minutes.
Happened to me but only once since August 26. Did up the seatbelt in the empty seat to make the light go out!

Agreed. Saw it twice. It does go away.

So this is something that is made to be like that, where it goes away after a few minutes?

Quite hard to imagine why it would be. I have owned and traveled in many cars. None of them did that.

I can't say that I have noticed mine going off. Perhaps I just haven driven around long enough after dropping off a passenger.
This is an Infinity Issue, not just for the Q50, my M37S 2011 does the same and I have talked to at least 2 more Infiniti owners and they had the same, I found about it because I was on a service and there was this woman complaining about it, and talking to her other person that was there also joined the club.
Never had this happen on my old g37s, m37s, ex37 or q
