Hello Again Everyone!

Thanks to all the people that helped with all my questions during the procurement process (which was really a process)!

I finally got my Black Q50S Hybrid Last Thursday from Sewell Infiniti in Houston. Got it loaded with the tech and navi as well as spoiler, interior and welcome lighting, midnight grille, illuminated kick plates!

Tint: Formula One Pinnacle! 30% all around! (pics of tint* will come later)

Man this is one awesome car! I'm coming from a 2004 Black G35 so the difference between the two is immense!

I've only driven the car about 300 miles since picking it up so the summary might not be as long as everyone elses.

Drive/Das:

The sport suspension is rigid but I personally prefer it. I haven't had any problems with the hybrid jerking back and forth yet as I have not pushed it yet (trying to be good during the break in period):D

I know all the american car reviews simply loathe the DAS system but I actually like it. The feed back is not there compared to my G35 but its refreshing that I cant feel all the vibrations. The car responds well to aggressive cornering as well as everyday driving. I really can't see why e'ery one hating on this car so much! Lol- and I did test drive the Lexus IS350 Fsport, Bmw 335 and I kept coming back to the Q,

The Nannies:

The babysitters do take a day or two to get used to but once you do they are awesome. I'm sure over time some of them might get annoying but currently I'm enjoying all the technology this car has to offer. The only thing that annoys me is when I change lanes to exit and the car ahead in the exit lane is going so slow that the Q slams the break leaving two or three car lengths. I love the fact that the car slows itself when needed, took me a awhile to trust it. I have yet to adjust the distance between cars while ICS is engaged, which I need to ASAP because you cant get anywhere with the three car lengths setting.

InTouch

I absolutely love the InTouch. I'm knocking on some strong wood here, but I haven't had any issues with InTouch as my car was given the most recent update before I picked it up. The only thing that is acting up is the fact that I use my phone (calling) and Ipod(music) from bluetooth. On a couple of occasions the ipod gets paired but the phone does not, but that has only happened the day I paired both at the same time and today. Other than that tiny glitch I havent had any problems yet. (watch, the minute I post this message and go for a drive after something will happen)

I know its not a comprehensive review but I hope it will do for now! I've gotten lots of head turns in traffic and at work as well as the neighborhood. Sorry about the spelling can't find the spell check on this thing!

Thanks again for all of your help Ghandi and Aggie

Congrats!! I came from a 2004 G35 as well, and totally agree about the difference. I finally picked mine up this past Monday evening, and can't be any happier. And I really can't understand what the hate is with the DAS. I have mine on Heavy, and it's very comfortable and fun to drive.:D
Congrats. Glad you got what you were looking for.

While I don't have the sport model, I find heavy/quick setting on the DAS is most enjoyable for me
congrats on blk pearl, you will love the car as time goes on and you master the different setting. Enjoy
congrats on the car, looks amazing, enjoy the black paint ;)
Congrats sbhakta! That's a sexy beast (perfect color combo). You mind sharing with us the details of your purchase / lease?
I paid 56k out the door. I'm sure I could of got it cheaper had I waited but my G35 was acting up so I figured it was time. Financing was 1.75 for 4years. Plan on paying it off sooner if possible.

I lucked out with the dealership being so spot on vs a certain dealer in Houston who has some shady business practices
Congrat on your new Q50. Good choice on the hybrid. Of all the cars, it's the best bang for the bucks.

One thing you'll learn after a few weeks is when the car is going to do that. Once you anticipate a maneuver that you are going to do, like speeding up and taking a tight space, or doing what you described in changing lanes to an exit ramp and getting the brakes slammed on. Often when I'm driving and I know the car is about to do something I don't need it to do, I can easily hit the steering wheel button to turn it off without even moving my hands, just a quick hit with my thumb, and then another push to turn it back on after I know it's not going to slow me down.

It's super easy, it is the button right to the left of the ICS steering wheel button. It will go from 3 rectangles down to 2, then 1. It defaults to the 3 every time and you have to switch it every time, but it's really easy since it's just a steering wheel button.

No problem, you have my car's twin!
No problem, you have my car's twin!

I originally ordered the white one but for some reason the black one just stood out!

Good looking twins at that
It's not that all American car reviews loathe DAS--it's just that the ones that didn't like it the most just happened to be from American car journalists.
