My dealer just informed me Infiniti started shipping the q50s yesterday to dealers and dealers will do the updates and they can be sold next week. There were too many cars to do updates on in los Angeles port.

I wouldn't count on next week to take Q50 home but you can buy it (now secretly;)) as the official date is Aug 5th.

It's nice to know. Perhaps they will let us test drive the cars next week. I personally don't plan to purchase one until the VPP goes into effect in August, but at least I might be able to experience the cars and do some decision making prior to then.

From my understanding yes, as long as the tech update is installed. Ultimately we will just have to wait till the cars arrive and see how fast the process moves
I would believe so too! My dealer also told me the same thing the last tym I asked if I can test drive the car! The software update has been the only hindrance for those test drives! :(

Look but don't drive

i received the following email from the salesman at my dealership where i ordered my Q50 Sport AWD : "I was told this morning that there will be a few Q50s arriving either Monday or Tuesday this week. They will be on display where you may sit inside and look at the different features; however there will be no test drives allowed, due to paperwork and insurance issues"

VPP pricing will NOT be available on this car for at least 3 months. Probably more like 6 months.

I have over 30 Q50's sitting on my lot and the official word on the update is still beginning of August. I'm sure where your "salesman" heard next week but there has been no such word from Infiniti.

And where is this lot? Can we visit? I think it'll be equivalent to frolicking in a filed of flowers for me! :D

Wow, you are wrong on so many (read: ALL) of your points. You are one of those guys that give dealerships a bad name with misinformation.

VPP pricing has already been announced will be available the day the Q50 launches.

Great news, everyone! With all of the excitement about the Infiniti Q50 from consumers and our Retailers, we are happy to announce that the Infiniti Q50 will be eligible for the VPP savings at the launch of the vehicle, currently planned for August 5th. More details to come!

VPP is a voluntary program for dealers. There is not a dealer in the US that will sell a Q50 at invoice for the next 3 months.
Wanna bet? I understand that stealerships, such as the one you work for, won't...but many honest dealerships around the US will...

I would be amazed if Infiniti went so far as to make this announcement and then have no dealers follow through on it. It would generate a huge amount of ill will just as they are trying to launch their most important product in years. My bet is that VPP will be available at launch just as Infiniti announced.

The day will be aug 5th.. We have not even got any in yet.. We where informed that we will be getting some in this week but we ARE NOT allowed to drive them untill the software update is done. So if we ARE NOT allowed to drive them then how are other dealers suppose to sell them?

So, let me get this straight. Infiniti's parent company, Nissan, has clearly, publicly, and directly stated to its customers that VPP pricing will be available on the Q50 "upon launch", and a "dealership spokesman" on this thread STILL refuses to believe it? To said "spokesman", it's ok to realize that you jumped the gun, but don't chastise the rest of us for calling you out on false reporting that you attempted to pass off as "factual". We're all here to share knowledge and information about the Q50, but for you to come on here and spew unsupported statements as matters of fact that merely amount to wild guesses is comical, in the least.

"VPP is a voluntary program for dealers. There is not a dealer in the US that will sell a Q50 at invoice for the next 3 months."

Beg your pardon? As someone replied, you can't seriously imagine that every single dealer in America will refuse to honor a program PUBLICLY promoted by the brand? Yet, it sounds like you do believe this; or, perhaps you simply can't swallow the fact that someone called you out on a simple misstatement of fact that you passed off as an assurance. We've all speculated on several aspects of this car from the beginning, but most of us have made it clear that we aren't employed in any capacity by Infiniti--as you have claimed. I think you'd do yourself a service by ending this antagonistic campaign against the masses here and accept the real fact that VPP pricing HAS been offered and WILL be honored by many Infiniti dealers nationally. If you were truly involved in the back finances of the dealership, then you'd understand that they don't absorb the final hit from VPP discounts; the corporation reimburses the dealership shortly after the claim is processed, hence the reason why Infiniti/Nissan is so stringent on customers providing evidence of their VPP association. Maybe the dealership that "employs" (?) you will refuse to honor VPP, but if that's the case then I'm quite certain the level of customer service offered there isn't satisfactory for my business, anyway. Btw, no "bubbles are burst", so carry on.
