The latest and perhaps easiest to resolve issue has kept our Q50 in the service department since November 7, 2013. The reason it is there this time is to replace the SD card reader. We were told it would take two business days, worst case. Well, it is now December 1, the reader finally arrived last Wednesday, November 27. It has not been installed. We have been given a loaner which has zero of the options/packages that our car has. We have been driving this vehicle for three weeks.
ARE there any Q50 owners out there who have had ZERO issues. If there are, what packages and model do you own? We have been given the options of replace, repurchase or select a completely different model of Infiniti. These options were offered to us via Customer Quality and Dealer Network Development Arbitration Specialist, Amanda Johnson (615-725-7278). Given this is the most current of a variety of issues, the most frightening "malfunction" we had was no steering capability. We've been in this lease for 90 days and have had our car for 49 of the 90. Should we believe that a replacement Q50 is the way to go? You might be interested to know that every loaner we've used (we are currently on our fourth one) has had some electronic malfunction.  We welcome your responses!

I would go with something else. Many of the problems people are having are too widespread. I am very disappointed with this car and Infiniti. Sorry for your troubles. Glad Infiniti is stepping up in your case. All they are doing for me, since giving me a $300 card for accessories I don't want, is occasionally returning my calls and now supposedly arranging for someone to come look at my car, but who knows when.

This product rollout has been a disaster and I would be shocked if people in positions of responsibility didn't lose their jobs over this. If it was in my organization they would.

No issues with mine. I haven't even done the in-touch updates.... If you want real issues go buy an Audi or BMW.

No issue with mine either. Mine is the very first batch of the Q50S Hybrid with all nanny techs loaded. I haven't have a single freeze since the September update (more than 2 months now). My Nav, Intouch and techs work flawlessly. I believe it's the luck of the draw. Doesn't matter what brand of car, there will always that small percentage of defective car. This hold true for anything electronics (computer, TV, microwave, etc...). Good luck with your decision.

I have a base awd model so very little that could go wrong. The only issue in have us slow start up of the intouch which causes the backup camera lines not to show up until after about a minute and slow volume and hvac setting adjustments.

If I were you I would get a sport gasser model with nav but without deluxe touring.

Hybrid Sport with Navigation (no Deluxe).
InTouch version 2.3.7.0578
Been driving it for 2 months, 2 weeks and 1 day.
Manufacture Date - 7/13.

No issues to speak of. Had to reboot InTouch just once when it seemed to hang. There was no impact to steering or performance (I left InTouch in a hung state for a couple miles while testing steering, braking, handling impact. All worked perfectly from what I can tell. Reloaded InTouch while driving and haven't seen the issue since.

I've only used navigation a couple times, but it all worked well beyond several user errors

I have had no issue until this weekend. On a long road trip, the nav hung twice. Rebooting while driving did not work. Starting the car after a rest stop reset everything, it even remembered the route. I have had no steering issues. I need the Intouch update. Awd, premium, hybrid with tech and nav.

Sorry to hear about your issues with the vehicle. I purchased the Q50 Hybrid Premium with the tech package. Car has been in for two software updates. No issues with anything wrong with the vehicle. Sometimes you just get a lemon.

This is my third Infiniti. In 2006 I purchased an M35. The only problem was an air-conditioning hose came loose in 118 degrees while we were in Las Vegas.

My second vehicle, a 2010 G37 Convertible, also had no issues. My daughter now has the car when I decided that I wanted the Q50.

I would purchase Infiniti again. In your case..... Not sure.

Had some initial InTouch freezes when I first got the car nothing since the latest software update. Got the vehicle in August and it is one of the first production models that were shipped. Used mostly in town, have used the navigation just a couple of times for some short road trips and a little in town. No issues.

No issues with mine, either. I've had my car for almost three months now and have yet to take my car back to the dealer for anything. I also haven't updated my car to the latest software, either. Going to wait a while before I go for any upgrades so that all the kinks can get worked out.
