Got a dragy, been messing around with it. Trying to find an area where I can do 1/4 runs, but here's a baseline 0-60 for now. Once I aired the tires to 30psi it dropped to 4.69

It’s been a loooooong since I’ve gone to the drag strip. I haven’t hit the drag strip since my college days when I had a Prelude H22 VTEC back in the days lol.

Here are the time slips for 2 of my best runs out of 6 runs on the same day at Sacramento Raceway last night. I brake boosted at around 1.5k RPMs during launch in Sport Plus Mode with Traction Control Off and used Automatic Shifting. I wanted my results to be as close as possible to what I’d do out on the street.

12.55 Seconds @ 113.14 MPH
91173

12.514 Seconds @ 113.49 MPH
91174

Next time, I’ll lower my rear tires’ pressures. Anyone have any suggestions on what PSI I should be running my Michelin street tires at? Maybe I’ll get some dedicated drag strip drag radials... Wish I had AWD now lol.

EngineeredQ50 You're probably not hooking very well with those aspect 30 tires I imagine? When I hit he drag strip on 245/40/19 I was at 28psi and seemed to do well. I am getting some 275/40 this weekend so I am looking for some new PRs this spring

2018 Q50RS AWD, E30 20PSI tuned by BSTuning, Stage 3 Red Alpha bolts ons with HKS catback system.

Something is way off with this time and these mods... where are you located/what was the DA during this run? e30/20psi should have you running mid 11s in normal conditions

What were your 60’ times?

Those 2 runs were with my best launches that day with my street tires at 36 PSI... Although, I’m sure there’s room for improvement as I could hear the tires screeching up until ~10 MPH during those launches. I may run 28 PSI the next time I go.

I got a 2.071 second 60’ time for the 12.55 Seconds @ 113.14 MPH run. And a 2.106 second 60’ time for the 12.514 Seconds @ 113.49 MPH run.

Yup, I can definitely improve my 60’ times.

Drag racing is addicting

My best hit at the track was 12.68 at 112.81, 60ft was 2.069. Best dragy was a 12.64 @ 114.32. 60ft was 2.15. Dragy run was done in negative DA and traction was minimal but the cold air made a difference in the pickup

Do you think we could get our 60’ times down if we ran drag radials (maybe the Nitto NT05R) with lightweight 17’s or 18’s in the Rears? Maybe a 1.8 or 1.9 second 60’ time (which we may be able to shave off 0.2 to 0.4 seconds in the quarter)...?

I just placed an order on a Dedicated Drag Setup for my 17 RS RWD. Dedicated Drag Setup will be:

For the Rears Only - 18x9.5 ET38 Silver Enkei RPF1 wrapped in 285/40/18 Nitto NT05R Drag Radials

They should be here by the end of the week. So, depending on whether or not it rains, I can probably hit the drag strip again either next Wednesday or the Wednesday after next.

Modelo virus lol

You have a dragy? My 0-60 times have gotten much worse since adding the 275/40/19 Firehawks to my car. From 4.46 best/4.5--4.6 consistent, to 4.94--5.05 consistent.. not sure what I broke

No dragy here. If the drag strip doesn’t open up any time soon, I might put on my Dedicated Drag Setup, and then use my Ecutek Performance Analyser to log some runs.
