Every 6 months or 5,000 miles on Q50
Remember, the only oil you can use in the Q50 is synthetic. Even if you drive it hard, synthetics are rated at 5,000 miles - many manufacturers have extended oil changes to 7,500 miles.i would change it the first 2500 miles just to get all the new metals out of its system or whatever, then i do it every 3000-5000 miles depending on how hard those miles were driven thats just me
There are four maintenance plans(Basic, Basic+Plus, Standard, and Premium). We were given the Basic, which covers only oil and filter changes and tire rotation. I'm quoting from the Basic Maintenance Agreement that was received as compensation for the long wait:Remember, the only oil you can use in the Q50 is synthetic. Even if you drive it hard, synthetics are rated at 5,000 miles - many manufacturers have extended oil changes to 7,500 miles.
I asked my service manager, and she told me they will use the regular non-synthetic.I was told by the service manager at my dealership that the Q50 comes with full synthetic from the factory, and that is what you have to use.
To the best of my knowledge.. completely inaccurate..I was told by the service manager at my dealership that the Q50 comes with full synthetic from the factory, and that is what you have to use.
Your engine was filled with a high quality engine oil when it was built. You do not have to change the oil before the first recommended change interval.
That is what I was told as well. The manual states differently.I was told by the service manager at my dealership that the Q50 comes with full synthetic from the factory, and that is what you have to use.
The shop manual makes no mention of it either. Personally I have only ever used Nissan Ester oil in VQ, but it is by no means required.Even the owner's manual does not say anything about full synthetic being required to be used.
