Infiniti announced they have been getting a lot of interest from fleet buyers for the new Q50. 300 Q50s have already been ordered from two major buyers. With more fleet buyers inquiring.

I think we can expect to see a lot Q50s on the road in the near future.

Are these Q50s being bought by dealerships? who are the major buyers and what will they do with them besides the obvious. I wonder if the cost are less from Inifniti when you purchase such a big number of the Q50s.

I cer thinly hope we don't see these on rental lots ... To me that cheapens the car... And the brand the two purchaser probably bought them as corporate cars ...

Pretty sure that in this case, "fleet" = "rental car company." Infiniti already sells cars to rental companies. They show up as low mileage used cars on dealer lots after a year or two.

I wouldn't doubt it, these will make for some nice premium rental cars. I wonder if there are any ways a Q50 can be used as a "fleet" vehicle. Definitely wont be a taxi or limo, that's better left to a Infiniti M sedan.

As far as i'm aware, the 300 fleet cars have been sold in the UK.

Europe is getting a 2.2l Diesel engine which will put out less than 115g of CO2 (which puts it on the cheapest tax band in Europe) and get 65mpg so great for motorway cruising.

Fleet companies in the UK at least buy huge orders of premium cars and lease them out to other companies. For instance when your company offers you a company car in the UK you're most likely to be offered a BMW 3/5 series, Mercedes C/E class or Audi A4/5. Infiniti has had trouble breaking into this segment (arguably the most profitable and best segment to dominate in Europe) as we've never had a low emissions, high MPG car available until now.

But yes, of course fleet companies do also entail places like Hertz and Enterprise car rental places.

I've seen used G37's and FX35's that came from rental companies. I've also seen M37's on rental lots.

The first G37x I ever drove was a rental from Enterprise. I put a bunch of miles on it driving from here to western Kentucky and back. Longest test drive I ever took.

same here, it's harder to find companies that carry them though.
you definitely wont find them parked up at rental places that have corolla's, civic's, etc.... your typical basic rental car.

where i live you have to go to luxury vehicle rental places.
