Q50 update delayed

Just got an email from our District Manager.. the update is delayed until Wednesday

The update will be at dealers Wednesday.

Unfortunately there was no reason given, and since dealers in NJ are closed on Sundays.. I dont have anymore info

Just as many of you will be, I am pissed. Could the rest of the country be different? Yes.. but I doubt it.

...which further proves that Infiniti has mismanaged this entire release. They publicly announced an on-sale date of August 5th--to customers directly and to the press. How bad does this look? Very bad. As has been suggested all along, this update should have been planned for last week, at the latest. It made zero sense to plan for a "mass install" on the freaking date of sale; I saw this coming. Thankfully, I wasn't planning to pick it up until the 12th anyway. Still, it's ridiculous. Smh.

Agreed.. there was a change to the way it will be installed and we will get more information when available.. that was the extent of the email

Can anyone else confirm or have asked their rep already? I really hope this is not a nationwide thing!

Call your rep.. Cali dealers should be open on Sundays

Just emailed them actually! Waiting for a reply on it!

Update: Rep doesnt know about and will have to let me know tom since service manager isnt in today!

Can anyone else ask their reps?

Ugh. This is a major bummer, I guess it is what it is. To your point, chicagokevo, this updating schedule didn't really make sense and was a problem waiting to happen.

Sooo...sounds like a lot of us will have a case of the Mondays tomorrow.

Yep, my manager just contacted me and the software update is delayed. I didn't even get Wednesday, I got "should be later this week"

Now I really feel justified with canceling my check. Things are just too up in the air right now!! Hmmm I did have a dream last night that I test drove and purchased a BMW! Maybe that was a sign. Ha

When I was told my car was ready to be picked up a month ago and then it wasn't, I got mad about the way this was being handled and the poor communication and lack of information. And everyone who wasn't expecting their car until now jumped all over me. Now I wonder how everyone feels?!

I think I'm going to go check out BMW, Lexus, and Audi again each night after work until I'm able to buy a q50 (if ever)...this waiting game is getting ridiculous.

If I didn't hate the i-drive so much I'd seriously consider a 4 Series, but they're not available yet.
