What do you use or recommend? I have an old-ish cordless Passport from Escort. I am looking to upgrade for my new Grey Gator (4 yr old som's idea).

I really like my Valentine one. It's $399. Another good one is the escort 9500 but it's even more expensive. I have mine hard wired and blend mounted into the rear view mirror. I'll post pictures tomorrow

I've been using radar detectors for 25+ years. Valentine One is by far the best I've ever used. Very few false alarms and easy to read.

I have an Escort 9500xi and I love it. Upgraded from the 8500 model a couple of years ago and I was very pleased with it. I have it hardwired as well just like Aggie.

I have passport too and like its learning ability... Of course I use in my G37xS as my wife is not crazy about it for her Q.
I see on the Q we must have to hard wire because there is no cigarette lighter to plug into

I've had a V1 for over ten years and have upgraded at every turn. I've added Savvy and the bluetooth accessory to interface with my iPhone. I really like it.

Now with the Escort Max, I'm thinking of buying one because of GPS, traffic camera, red light camera, HD display and live alerts. However, not stealth enabled.

Simple question here how does one list the details on our Q50 at bottom of our posts? I have looked twice but cannot seem to see where to add the info

I think the cliff notes on high end (non-remote) detectors is:

V1: Most sensitive, best "UI", somewhat "noisy"
9500ix: 90% as sensitive as V1, least noisy due to GPS based false alert learning.
