Thanks Lukeb321, Did you attend the show yourself? And did you get a chance to sit in the q50? No one has had a chance to yet.
Wow!some more:
The new steering wheels looks a lot thicker and beefier, similar to that of the Sports steering wheel offered in the BMW 3-Series...Not sure if anyone else uploaded pictures from the NYC Autoshow. Took a few myself I thought everyone would like to see.

I'm still jealous you actually got to sit inside it...The steering wheel had a really nice feel to it. I'm coming from a 2005 TL Aspec and my steering wheel has that old school stuff feel and is peeling from age and use. This wheel feels like it would last alot longer.
The instrument panel is really nice, liking the purple ambience in the speedometer and the animated MID. Wish the screens were working though so I could get a feel of the new touchscreen. The demo looked pretty crisp though.
Can't wait to see one in graphite shadow. Leaning towards that color if it suits the car, if not then I'm looking at that silver azure color.
I was shocked myself that I was able to sit in one. It felt roomier compared to a G37, but I've only been in a G a couple of time so I'm going from what I remember. The interior really has a nice feel to it.I'm still jealous you actually got to sit inside it...
I'm still on the fence between the Malbec, Chestnut, and Graphite paints. I'll probably have to see at least one of them in person before I would have to make up my mind.
Personally, I'm dying to know if there are any plans for a Limited Edition again (prolly not)--just hoping to get some red seats in the Q50.![]()
The red is a cross between a burgundy and a red, I wouldn't say it was a bright red or candy apple red, but with the sheen it had in combination with the lighting, it seemed to have some pop to it. It's really hard to describe but its not a burgundy, its slightly brighter than that. IMO, its going to be hard keeping it swirl free because of the color, but it really is an attractive color.maddsiick,
I'm wondering can you describe the Venetian Ruby. There are so many pictures of it and they seem to run the gambit to being more bright red vs burgundy vs candy apple red. Still trying to decide between my old staple Liquid Platinum, Black, Malbec Black, White or Ruby.
Thanks.
I can't recall the exact comparison, but I thought I read that the Q50 was a little bit larger than the G.I was shocked myself that I was able to sit in one. It felt roomier compared to a G37, but I've only been in a G a couple of time so I'm going from what I remember. The interior really has a nice feel to it.
