I just go to the dealer and they restore all the params for about $150 USD, they restore it from another Q50, since mine don't have any program on it. Now it is working fine, obviously, lesson have been learned here!.
Yes. They use a Backup from another car. They commonly provide the replacement of a broken intouch screen (upper or lower), they back up the information with the Consult III scanner into a PC, the technician keeps several backups in his computer, so they simply restore the information into my unit with a bootable CD, they also can perform the procedure with a bootable USB drive. The real thing here is to obtain the software image.
