I attended the Q50 preview event at my dealer this week. I was informed that the first deliveries have been moved up and are now expected in the 2nd week of July!

I was also told that the media was provided access to production model Q50s this week and we should expect to see reviews within the next week.

Take this with a grain of salt. I know there are some among us that don't believe the words of the sales reps.

Should be correct since some of the dealerships are getting their shipments this week! Looking forward to reviews and maybe some updated experiences on the InTouch System!

No reviews, no embargo. They won't let the press tear them a new one until they're happy with the intouch system.

At the very least I have to assume Consumer Reports will buy a Q50 themselves as a consumer-level purchase (as they always do), and they'll write up a detailed review on that basis. This hottie appears to be ready to sale any day now out on the west coast from what we're hearing. It won't be too long thereafter before some type of review is published. Also, there are a lot of respected independent YouTube car reviewers that immediately jump on new car releases & publish reviews; so more than just the major industry reviewers.

This is sort of a moot point now. The cars are at dealerships. Then again maybe the update that the dealerships have will get the intouch system where they want it. Who knows? I just want to see a decent review.

I received my Automobile and Motor Trend magazines today. I thumbed through them immediately looking for a Q50 review. All I found was a Q50 advertisement. :(

Wouldn't surprise me if Infiniti delayed the sales date until after Intouch is upgraded. I wouldn't want to be one of their software developers right now.

Yes, the lack of reviews is really disappointing. I know the car is will be arriving at dealerships this month and have already been spotted. It's just the Lexus IS has been all over the place being reviewed.

I'm not a fan boy of any of them, I currently drive a Nissan Xterra, but looking to upgrade to smaller, more luxury, and speed and the Q50 is #1 on my list (maybe G37 with the right price). But also looking at the Lexus IS, i'm not turned off by the grill as much as others.

It just seems like by not pushing the marketing and testing it shows lack of confidence in their product. Nissan (all be it a separate entity) pushed the new 2013 Pathfinder and go the vehicle reviewed and marketed and it's been doing great for them, reporting more sales so far this year than all of 2012: Nissan U.S. Sales Increase 12.9% to Set New June Record - Nissan Online Newsroom.

This is comparing apples to oranges, but it's still marketing, having faith in your products, and getting it out there for people to test, even though it maybe criticized. Like the Pathfinder, go on any form and people will be tearing it apart as a minivan or CUV and how it's destroyed the Pathfinder name, yet they keep selling.

Since they have officially announced August 5th I am sure that there will be some official reivews before then. I really applaud them for waiting to make sure that everything in the car is ready before they have them released to the reviews. Maybe they didn't want something that wasn't ready to be criticized and reviewed and in turn hurt them more because of more of a rush to keep up with other.

There's still time for the reviews to hit. As long as they are out before the 5th, they should be good. I would say the cars should be in the hands of the media probably next week. I remember the same thing happening with the JX. The reviews for it took a while to come out, but it has still been a hit for Infiniti, quickly becoming #2 in sales behind the G37. This just may be their new strategy, reviews out JUST before the cars go on sale. Kinda makes sense.

EDIT: IT JUST SUX TO WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL

Yeah, that makes sense. Especially with the InTouch system. They don't want the feedback the CUE gets.

I guess I'm like everyone else and just getting impatient.

Understand that. We seem to be in the home stretch now so we will have to find something to help keep us sane.

The waiting is driving me nuts. Maybe they'll release the reviews now that the date is out there or the reviews just haven't been done yet. There are just too many possibilities to speculate on. We'll just have to sit back and ride this out.
