I don't think autonomous driving will change liability a whole lot from any other sort of system failure resulting in a crash like unintended acceleration. The car manufacturer would be liable for all property damage and injuries resulting from a failure of their equipment. If the failure was caused by a part made by a different manufacturer, that manufacturer would be liable to the car manufacturer.
