The engine is technically the same for the most part.

What you have to consider is the engine bay and layout of the Q50 is not the same as it was for the 370Z...or the aftermarket companies would be selling them as cross compatible.

@Rayz...That's what was in the concept. I don't realistically seeing Nissan/Infiniti putting a full power GTR motor in the sedan. More than likely it will be a de-tuned version, as I believe they are squarely aiming at the C63/M3/RS4, which are all sub-500HP motors, with blistering performance. I am excited about the fact that they are, wisely I believe, coupling it with the AWD drivetrain, as opposed to the RWD setup of the C63/M3. We shall see

what im even more excited about is the engine in the Q50 Eau Rouge which is the GT-R's engine, crazy!
So if that engine fits in the Eau Rouge then it will also fit in my Q50S Hybrid?

Can anyone else see the pricing for the Rouge to be any less expensive then the GTR? If they plan on transplanting the engine and drivetrain but into a luxury sedan...not sure how adding 2 more doors and luxury trim is going to soften the blow to the pocket book? If the pricing is going to be similar to the GTR then its just as exciting/unafordable to the masses as the GTR haha

It's not released yet (as far as I know).

You should go look up the cost of a brake job on a GTR.
I nearly fell out of my seat when I saw it.

Anyhow it will be interesting to see if the maintenance costs are as bad as a GTR.
Hopefully they will not be.
