I received this message today for the first time. I have the most recent version on InTouch installed. Does anyone know what sandbox controls? and what doesn't work when it "stops unexpectedly"? I didn't notice anything not working properly.

Thanks

I've seen this once or twice. Including on my own car. I assumed it was some sort of cryptic computer code error. It doesn't seem to affect much.

yes sir, I have to go get my 1st oil change today. I'll let you know what they say
I showed them the message, their first response was SandBox 1 must have been a song i was playing on my iPod. haha --not joking.

They have never heard of this error before and said it could be because I have an EZ-pass mounted on my front window (i don't have the tech package) or due to the fact that i have a USB cable plugged into the car.

So what I got from this quick meeting was don't have EZ-Pass in the window, don't plug anything into the USB port-ever and this message shouldn't appear again.

sandbox is likely the isolated environment where apps are executed to prevent memory leaking over to other areas that inTouch is executing and responsible for like nav, climate, etc. Likely each feature has its own sandbox (1, 2, etc) --- all assumptions. I would update to latest release at the dealer, also maybe use the sideloaded intouch app for android from the forum here and update headunit proxy. Doing factory reset via inTouch options might also resolve this.

Disclaimers:
IMHO, i'm not your mechanic,I'm not a doctor, i'm not a lawyer, use at own risk, yada yada, yada.

Gosh, thanks for the tip. I thought sandbox error was referring to someone driving on the beach and getting grit in the works. Then again, what do I know? :D

this error has to do with navigation software: Take out the nav thumb drive and reinsert it back.
