Can anyone let me know when the app update for the InTouch is supposed to be available? Thanks in advance.

I checked with my dealer on Thursday and they report no info from hq. Others on this forum have suggested the 3rd week of Sept. (This week). Still others suggest October.

One forum member reports that infiniti says the programming is done. They are testing now.

If I were in Infiniti's position, I would not announce the update until it was distributed to dealers. No sense in broadcasting a date that has a chance of changing.

My dealer had a meeting with a software team last week and was told the update will occur in the "fall". They asked when? The next answer was "autumn". Vaguery!

None of the dealers have a release date because there isnt one yet.. it is still in testing.. the last answer I recieved was "soon" which to me would mean in a few weeks.. nothing has been promised yet as far as a date though because they obviously want to make sure they get as much as possible right with it..

This is exactly the experience I had with the iphone 5 update. No promised date but when it did come out it worked perfectly. The coming update is much more complex but I think Infiniti is going to make sure it works.

I hope it's soon! My navigation continues to freeze up; I really don't even bother using it at this point. The thing keeps losing my "Home" address; I've stored it in there multiple times. Good thing I don't plan on going on any road trips soon.

Knock on wood, but I haven't had a lock up of any kind in 2 weeks. It might be due to the fact that I discovered the USB music bug with Random All mode, and I have stopped using Random All mode. When I stopped using Random All mode, the nav and intouch lockups stopped. I still think there are other lockups having for different reasons, but luckily I haven't had any in a while.

You understand Winter doesn't officially start until Dec 21. So Fall could well be into December.

We just need to be patient and it'll be released when it's ready. With the software track record so far, I rather they spend the extra time to test out ALL the glitches and bugs vs. releasing 'on-time' for September. I want to visit the dealership once instead of multiple times for this.

OTA is probably not an option for these types of update.
