I have seen after market that do match the paint. IMHO, they destroy the lines that make the Q50 so **** sexy...Is anyone planning on installed door moldings? Is there a product which matches car colors? Does Infiniti have or is it after market?
+ 2+1, i wouldn't want to destroy the side profile of the car.
Agree with SnowItch. I do have them and always have on my 2005 TL and they've saved the side panel several times. However, they are big dirt catchers. Here is a set available on eBay
Infiniti Q50 Painted Body Side Mouldings W Black Insert Trim 3M Tape 2014 | eBay
I'm normally a fan of side mouldings (have them on my Equinox and they took a big ding that would have resulted in a big dent). I don't like how they look on the Q50
Not to mention wax catchers. Get that tiny toothbrush ready for the wax job.Agree with SnowItch. I do have them and always have on my 2005 TL and they've saved the side panel several times. However, they are big dirt catchers.
<y dealer offered me ding repair for I think $250/year. Unlimited dings. I declined. See if you dealer offers something like that if it worries you./Thanks for the feedback and all the considerations are valid....until the first paint chip and ding appears. I am torn.
That's not a bad deal (and a good compromise). A little more expensive than the side mouldings, but it does give you piece of mind without ruining the aesthetics of the automobile.<y dealer offered me ding repair for I think $250/year.
