Does anyone know if the Q50 can receive on its Nav screen SiriusXM Weather Alerts? On my last vehicle (Lexus) these alerts along with traffic appeared on its Navigation Screen. According to SiriusXM the initial trial subscription includes Weather alerts but they are not showing on my Q50.

Thanks
Orrin

Yeah I haven't even seen this on the Q50 but you would think it would have the weather too. Is this part of the next update too? I vaguely remember there being a weather option when using the voice commands, but it didn't work. I might be wrong though.

I checked the Sirius website and as best I can tell Infiniti looks to have dropped NavWeather for some of its vehicles beginning with the 2013 model year. I guess I'll just wait to see if the update opens up this option

Thanks

I have the NavTraffic working. I can't seem to find the weather information though. The InTouch manual says to go to Settings > SXM Info. I don't see that option. Does anyone else have that?

If you use the voice commands, under the "information" section it gives you options for fuel prices, weather forecast, current weather, sport scores, but when I use that option, it says command not found or something like that. Not sure if its a package issue on SXM or if its an inTouch update that will fix this.

On the Infiniti InTouch site (InTouch Vehicle Infotainment System | Infiniti USA Official Site), which shows all of the upcoming apps planned for the update there is an SXM app shown in the first picture. I believe you are right that it will be part of the update.

Oh yeah! Completely missed this on the Infiniti site:

I can't get my Nav Traffic working. Both Sirius and my dealer don't have answers. Did you have to do anything special?
SXM needs to be sending your car the traffic data in order to see it on your Nav screen. It was working when I got my car and SXM advertises on its website that traffic is included with their complimentary 3 months new car service. Its possiblr the service was not activated when your car was prepped for delivery.

I believe there is a setup feature for NavTraffic under the Q50's settings for Navigation. If you are not getting SXM traffic data the settings module should report the service is not being received. If you see that message then you should contact SXM or your dealer to have the feature turned on.

i am bumping this thread.

i tried to display weather, fuel prices and such but I get the message "command not available".

I called sirius and they confirmed that my traffic and reports package was activated. Dealership was of no help.
So why is this still not working?? This thread is almost 2 years old and these services still dont work????

Are you trying to do it using the Voice Command? Mine doesn't work using the voice command, but if I use the app on the inTouch, it works perfectly.

I have a 2014 Premium Hybrid, and I have the weather package. It shows the weather map, as well as a current day and 5-day forecast. In weather map mode it allows one to zoom in, but the resolution suffers quite a bit at the highest zoom level.

Pretty sure weather and gas prices are not available here in Canada. I have the same issue with my Q50 and I had it with my last car. I don't believe XM supports these features outside of the USA.

Looks like they do offer it. I could be wrong though

SiriusXM Traffic Services, US & Canada | SiriusXM.ca
I'd be interested in hearing from any Canadian Q50 owners who have been able to get weather working. It does show that there is coverage but whenever you click on coverage areas it specifically tells you abut traffic coverage. I haven't been able to find any place where they mention weather information being available.
