Snow Tire and Rim packages

I am getting the run around from my dealer on installing my after market rim/tires from my G37: 225/55/17 Goodyear Ultragrip Ice. They hooked up terrific in the ice, slush and snow.

The dealer tells me the bolt package is the same as Q50 AWD, but none of the sensors will work. I get that the tire pressure sensor wont work...but they tell me all the other sensors will flash error messages (ABS, Traction Control, etc.)

Also they suggest the car wont handle properly without run flat tires?

What's the real facts/scoup?

Wouldnt they be able to swap the tpms if that was the case though? As for the tires, a lot of guys on here swapped their tires already and have been happier with how their car performs because of it!

Pretty sure you don't need run flat because an authorize dealer is selling winter packages with non run flats snow tires. I purchased it and will have it installed this month.
Sounds like a lot of BS to me. Other members here have changed their runflats to non runflats and they're going great with the change. Dont see why this would be any different. Maybe the dealer doesn't want to do it because they don't want to be responsible if anything else gets messed up by using different wheels.
Have you tried bolting them on? It is possible the tpms are different, but the non run-flat thing sounds like bs to me. And what other sensors? Ask them to show you the ABS and Traction Control sensors in the wheel. Those should be hard to find.
