I don't think I would've accepted having the leather cover transferred over. I've done that work myself in the past and I would not trust it to have been done well by the dealer.

I was also having troubles with the airbag light on my Infiniti and I tried fixing the problem. I did search on possible causes and then I came across the YOUCANIC website where they have an article Troubleshooting Infiniti Airbag Light On. After reading it I tried checking every sensor and its wiring. Then I saw a damaged wiring on the weight sensor, I fixed it and drove my vehicle for a few minutes. Then the airbag light came off. So thankful I saw the article it helped me save a few bucks. I really recommend checking it guys!
