I can not for the life of me get the texting to connect to my phone. I have an Iphone 5 w/ ATT and i cant figure out how to get the app to connect to my phone.

also, in the APP Manager section of the settings app, it won't connect to phone either.

Very hit and miss for me with my 5s. Texts won't work for a couple of weeks and then all of the sudden, ding, I am getting a text. I would say it has worked maybe 5% of the time.

Yeah it's really hit or miss with an iPhone at this point. Frankly the few times it has worked I found the required screen presses to be cumbersome / lengthy, if I recall it was 3-4 presses and then finally it was spoken back to me which was cool. If you need to press a bunch of soft buttons it kind of makes the feature useless in my view since the whole idea is to avoid taking your eyes off the road to text. Also, you may have already read this, right now its only inbound texts, you can't text back with any of the canned messages, it will fail. Maybe the (ha-ha) fall update will address these issues.

I have a Galaxy S4 and my texts come across about 95% of the time. The sales person told me it should work because it's an Android phone and the iPhone isn't supported yet.

you need to go to blue tooth setting on your iphone while in the car (make sure it on) ans click the little (i) right to "My-car" and turn on the notification.

I also have a Galaxy S4 and I get 100% of my SMS texts, the only ones that don't get notified or you can't even see are the MMS.

I have a Galaxy S3 and it's about 50/50 for me being able to review / have my text messages read via the car. I usually don't worry about it until I get to a safe stopping place since about half the time I get the "unable to retrieve messages" alert.

I would suggest deleting the phone info on your car as well as unpairing and deleting the bluetooth setting for your car on your phone. Then re-pair your phone with the car and set up the bluetooth. This should reset everything and get it all working again. I had this issue once with my Droid. Now the texting works just fine.

I have an iPhone 5 (ATT) and I also have the latest software update of In Touch. I deleted my phone out, set a different password for blue tooth, re-synced the phone, and I have received 100% of my text messages via In Touch. Its actually a really nice feature.

Hope this helps. :)

I have the same experience with my Galaxy S3. Texting will show up intermittently. It will also show up delayed.

Personally, I'm just being patient and waiting for the next firmware revision. Hopefully that will fix this and MANY other issues. I love my Q though (even though the InTouch app doesn't do anything but give you email and a calendar at this point).
