This is what the Q50 and Infiniti's other upcoming models look to change. Many of Infiniti's models are due for a redesign. In the past, I think the focus was on producing models with designs that were not too polarizing. That kind of attitude produces bland designs. Don't get me wrong, I love my G37 but it was never an exciting design by any standard. Performance is its strong suit. I think the conversation in a couple of years will be around how Infiniti turned things around with the Q50 leading the charge.

Again, utter stupidity. None of the cars have their own character... WHAT!?!? Sooo... the QX and the G have the same character? They could have pulled another bogus reason out of their rear-ends. And even in its older age, the G37 Coupe/convertible is not boring.

It gets really annoying that people continue to MAKE Infiniti a target of stupid stuff like this. This is what makes this whole turn around thing an uphill battle, because a lot of the press, no matter how good an Infiniti is, will not give it the credit its' due.

Didn't everyone complain the new M body style was too polarizing? Talk about inconsistent! I hate these rags that just post things to sell ad space. Sheesh

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but some people should keep it to themselves..

I've never looked at Infiniti as a boring brand. Maybe 10 years ago. I do think Infiniti should come out with a halo car though. Something like the GTR. It doesn't matter if noone buys it.

Look at the new Acura NSX. I doubt very many will sell but they are still making it.

Not sure if that would even make a difference to some that just want to be writing to be writing. Since the author of the article sort of politely put Acura in the same category as they commented about Honda.

Just have to take it all with a grain of salt, because I am SO sure that he didn't do any type of vote.

meh. I wouldn't be offended. I think most people reading this article would conclude this as a ridiculous piece. At the end of the day, it's a writer trying to make his quota.

Contention in the article is stupid. Honda Subaru and Lotus are boring car companies? Riiiiiight.

Toyota is a boring car company. What would you rather drive - Honda Accord or Toyota Camry? Lexus was boring, for the longest time. Their LS was just a copy of the previous years' Mercedes S Class, except watered down generically designed. Lincoln is a boring car company.

Here is my contention: Jalopnik is to automotive reporting what the celebrity gossip pulp rags are to news reporting.
