Thoughts on the newest addition 3.3 Add W1 OCC?

Is this just their attempt to sell more or additional product to their uninformed buyers or is there a true need to tap into the passengers side crankcase vent on the Q50/60? From me reaching out to a person in the industry, the word is the CCV side for the VR30 motor doesn't actually recircualte any moisture or oil blow-by through this hose. It's just a fresh air vent. If it's just a vent that sucks fresh air in, then why the need to build a catch can system connecting to it?

Since I saw the install process of the product I can relate because I just recently added the AMS intake system to my 3.0t. While I had the complete intake system apart there was no trace of fluid or oil residue in my passengers side airbox boot where this crank case vent hose attaches. Plus the fact that this point is right in front of the passenger side turbo would be a big concern. Seems like it would be a foolish design to force-feed oil and gas vapor into the turbo inlet.

I was informed that the PVC system is the only hose involved in the blow-by recirculation process on this particular car. Now some motors on different cars with different designs do see some oil blow-by from time to time with the passenger side PVC/CCV but seems like their selling snake oil for $275-300.

I got home from a seven-day work trip with the car and wasted no time to check its passenger side crankcase vent hose for oil blow-by. Took all the steps to identify if this hose was a problem. Also checked my catch can as for being tuned need to check it more often. Check out the video to see what I found:

Doesn't look like the blow-by hoses are an issue...at least for 1K miles. Need to drive it like you stole it until your next oil change and take a look then.

Makes me think your main PVC "Correction PCV" hose could be blocked or restricted. The passenger side hose is the CCV = vent to vent pressure in the crankcase. The PCV, driver side, is what the positive crankcase ventilation involves recycling these gases containing oil, unburnt fuel and moisture/condensation back into the manifold. Looks like a deeper issue to me. I'd put a call into my local Infiniti dealership and ask a lead tech or shop manager about it.

The hoses aren't PVC but they are part of the PCV system.
I just picked up the ADD W1 v3.3 OCC for my Q and will be installing it tomorrow. I'm at ≈ 1,700 miles but glad to be getting this mod done. Took forever to get it from ADD W1 though...it was almost two weeks from order to delivery when it showed up today.
So what is the verdict, should we go with the three hose version or two hose version. I literally just ordered the 2 hose version about 2 minutes ago. Wondering if I should cancel...
I knew I was forgetting something with my recent oil change. I forgot to check/empty the OCC!
I reached out to sales and they said both 2 or 3 port will work. They provided this link for those trying to decide. I ended up sticking with the 2 port version.
Which Oil Catch Can should I Choose ?

Did you ever find out what the exact cause of this was? I'm seeing the exact same thing, turbos are clean... also installed LDP and clean on that side too.

I noticed you said you forgot to empty your CC... was that your issue? because i've never seen my CC more than 1/3 full so it's unlikely thats the cause for me

I understand its "normal" but that doesn't mean its good for the car... has anyone had any luck with the add w1 3.3 catch cans? I have a mishimoto at the moment... Looking like i could add a t fitting and make the modification to the mishimoto ?
