Had my 2014 AWD in the shop today to check out the suspension for a creaking/knocking going on with the front during braking and turning. xender While under the car, the mechanic pointed some things discord out and we noticed some fluid seeping from the transfer case. Has anyone had the same issue and had to replace their seal? omegle I bought this car used and it had mismatched tires, which is a big no-no on AWD cars, so I'm sure that had something to do with it. I'm wondering if a bad seal would be considered a maintenance item or if that's part of the whole transmission warranty.

I doubt mismatched tires would cause a seal failure. I would be more worried about the internals of the transfer case depending on how much difference there is in rolling circumference of the tires and how low the unit is on fluid.
