USB Flush Drive Q

So, the Cruzer Fit USB Flush Drive 32 GB just arrived. ... But I can't get it to work right. - Uhh, I don't have my Q yet, so i was trying on M.

Yes, Afrosheen, I did format it to FAT32 before trying to load music. ;) Somehow the music albums on my PC were in different format, either WMA or MPEG4. It appears that M can recognize and play WMA files/music without problem, but when the album is MP4, somehow it only recognize (the songs/tracks) but "unplayable".

What can I do about it? Do I have to transfer all my MP4 music to WMA and then load it to USB? (and how can I do that? )

What should I do in the future when I import CDs via itunes, should I choose "Apple Lossless Encoder" or "AAC" or"AIFF" or "MP3" or"WAV"? :(

THANKS so much! - I know this is not really a Q50 question, but ... while waiting for SOMEONE to find my car, I better do SOMETHING to prepare for my new toy, right?! :p

The Q50 only support MP3, WMA and AAC. Since you are using Itune, then AAC is the better choice. Make sure to select the highest quality (320kbps) when you import your music.

Thanks so much!

..So, I deleted and re-imported the same CD (of MP4 files) using AAC encoder (Custom -320 kbps). However, it turned out to be MP4 format again, and still couldn't play!:(

Then I reimported it again using MP3 encoder, still 320kbps. This time it WORKED and I was able to play in the car via USB! :)

So is it because M is different from Q and only supports MP3? Sounds like my future Q WILL support AAC/MP4? So after I get my Q I should be able to play those MP4s on my USB?

Anyway, thank you InginitiPlusOne for the help! Success! :D
I can't help with your question but mine arrived yesterday and I got 20gb loaded (4,500 songs). It works great and I love that I can quickly switch folders, and also shuffle the entire USB or shuffle just a single folder. I don't think I'll even be able to listen to half of the songs during the time I own the q lol

If that is the case, then use MP3 (320kbps) since it is more compatible with other player then AAC.
The Q50 does support AAC with .m4a extension, not .mp4 extension.
