I tried using my 32GB USB drive. I have about 20GB of music on it about 4,500 songs). I can get it to play one or two songs, then it freezes and starts over at Song #1. After a couple times of doing that, it finally stopped working completely and says "Check USB drive". I guess it can't handle that many songs, even though the manual says it can handle up to 5,000 files.

I had the same problem today. 64gb USB with > 10k files.

Form the Q50 side, can you navigate folders on the drive or, it reads the entire drive and gives you one large list? If it supports folders, maybe you can divide your collection into folders as a means of working around the q50 limitation of number of files.

Yes, it supports folders. I have my 4,500 songs split out in 189 folders.

Wow that sucks man! I've only been streaming thru bluetooth but was going to use my micro sd thru usb card reader! Thanks for the heads up!

I only have a couple hundred songs and it does this. The fix I found is start it somewhere in the middle and always switch back to radio before turning the car off. If you do this it will never restart on song number one
