Ok so here is a new issue that I just ran into with Nav.
Has been working fine since I got my car in September 2013.
All of sudden when doing normal driving, the Nav will drop the name of the street I am driving on (in the white bar at the bottom of Nav screen) BUT only when driving on a HWY - thats right - it drops out when I enter a highway and then comes right back on city streets. Crazy - but thats whats happening.
Tried the resets, checked every setting.
Any ideas?

From what I can tell, this is by design. My car behaves the same way. The name of the surface roads show up just fine at the bottom of the navigation screen but interstate highways do not show up there. I can only assume that this is because the name of the interstate highways such as I-95 show on the roads themselves on the main part of the navigation screen.

Thanks for the replies everyone. The thing that seems weird to me about this is that is just started to do it. Prior to the last week or so it showed all names of all hwys and surface streets.
Can anyone else chime in on how their Navs handle this.

I haven't seen or experienced that. I noticed the NAV route takes a while to load, and only will load when driving has started. In my '12 G237S it would bring up the route almost immediately. Another very frustrating thing is it will alert me I've arrived at my final destination maybe a block away from the ACTUAL final destination. (Referring to city driving). It actually said I arrived when I was on a totally different street once, very annoying! Anyone else experience this?

I've noticed this too. It could be because no GPS is precise at the last block. That is, the house number is estimated proportionally to the block length (as I understand it).

This just happened to me today. It said "you have arrived at your destination to the left". I was like WTH? I don't see the street number anywhere.

I whipped out my tablet and used Google Nav and it took me to the correct location 1 street over.

on another note, did you even enable to feature at all? did you check and see if you turn on the feature under map preference that under navigation setting? mine is on and I don't experience any of the problem you have..

and I also notice people like to complaint first rather than checking if they have it setup correctly...
