hey guys, so I'm able to play video on the upper screen (while in park with ebrake applied) using my old iPod (30 pin out) connected to the car with an Apple Composite AV Cable. Yellow in for video and audio wire from headphone jack to AUX plug in. This works well but I want to play video from my iPhone 5 and its not working. I purchased a lightning to 30 pin adapter and attached it to the same AV Cable but no video playback. Has anyone been able to playback video from an iPhone 5 and if so how? Thanks in advance.

Hmmm. Did not even know it was possible.

Unfortunately video out via the 30 pin adapter is not supported. It may be possible to get the lightning to hdmi adapter and then a second adapter to change the hdmi to composite to feed into the car.

I already have the lightning to HDMI which I use with my tv. Think I found a local seller for an HDMI to RCA, hopefully it works. I will report back once I get the converter. Thanks

Here's another cool approach... Use a jailbroken iPod Touch as an Airplay target for iPhone 5.
