I was thinking about the lag of the system when I tried it on the preproduction car earlier this weeks and I do have to say the nav section did work pretty well. I didn't notice any u usual activity when putting in addresses, etc that I can remember. The lag seemed to occur when I was trying to go I to the active steer and ride preference options. Hoping that's all resolved on the production vehicles but I did like the nav. And that screen is beautiful!! This guy entering info reminded me of that.

I also like the way they put some options at the top of the touch screen like turn list and a few others I forget right now. Very useful as I access the turn list quit often when in nav mode.

The turn list is a way to get a idea of what upcoming turns the nav is going to take you. For example, if I take a long trip and I want to go via one highway but I'm not sure the nav route is going take me the way I want to go, I can view the upcoming turn list for all of the turns on the route. So if I know an area gets bottle necked I can reroute. I also use it sometimes to make sure the system has the destination set correctly. It's very useful but on my current G you have to go through 3 button presses to get there.

I was just commenting that it's nice to see that they have some quick access buttons on the touch screen for frequently used tasks. Not sure what your last comment meant but that's what I was stating in my post.

FYI :There won't be a split rear seat fold down on the hybrids as the Li-Ion batteries reside in the space behind rear seats.

Yeah that's too bad. But I never used the pass thru "window" to the trunk on my '05 G35 so I probably won't miss that anyway.
