So after having the car since Wednesday I'm just getting around to trying the voice commands. I was hoping the commands would be a little more generic but you still need to know the specific commands. Fortunately, it tells you what they are for each category as soon as you push the button. The POI command is pretty cool, you can search for specific restaurants by name and within a specific city. If you just say "nearby" then you can search for types of restaurants like Mexican or Chinese, etc.
I also have my USB plugged in with all of my music and you can say Play Artist Name or Play Song Name. Pretty cool if you want to hear a specific song and don't want to search for it on screen. Speaking of which, the screen commands for the USB are great, all right on the music screen you can pull up your music by Artist or Album and within each of those the first command pulls up All Songs by that Artist. It's very cool and very easy. I was afraid you would have to go through multiple screens. The same is true for the Navigation controls, all on one screen are the most frequently used commands. I love that "Cancel Route" is right there! On my M it took 3 screens to get to that. I often hit or say "go Home" when I need to get to a freeway entrance but once I'm on the freeway I cancel the guidance and it is so easy to do on the Q.
Finally the Bose system. It's not the best and I think Infiniti should partner with a higher end company and offer an upgraded system. For a standard system, it's pretty good after you adjust the trebble and base and turn on the driver center stage setting.
