This will not end as well as you think it will. My understanding is that it only works in "Park" and that it's composite video only - meaning it will look terrible.

Oh, I'm SURE he knows to only watch the movies while the car is stationary. If you think he would actually watch while the car is in motion, you would be calling him an idiotic, dangerous a$$hole. Right?;)

Anyone know how to do this? Do you use the jack in the center console?
you need HDMI Converter, RCA cables and 3.5mm converter.

1. One side of HDMI to Apple Lightning AV Adapter
2. Another side of HDMI to HDMI Converter
3. Yellow RCA one side to HDMI Converter Yellow port another side to vehicle Video In
4. Red & White RCA to HDMI Converter Red & White ports 3.5mm head to Vehicle AUX in
5. Switch Vehicle Audio Source to AUX
6. Connect Lightning to iPhone
7. Go to Q50 Setting tab
8. Go to Audio Setting
9. Go to AUX Setting
10. Switch display to Wide
11. Now you are able to mirror your phone on Navi Screen

As far as I know, video can only be played while the vehicle is in Park. There are options for you to bypass this, as it involves grounding a wire and hooking it up to a switch.

Can one feed the output of a go pro camera to the top screen, while driving? This view could be construed as a driving aid.
