In my G37, i would get weather alerts for severe weather. I don't see any options for this in the settings menu. Does the q50 offer this feature?

I have wondered about the same. The capability should be there since the weather info comes from Sirius/XM. Whether they built it into the software is another matter--and I sure don't see it anywhere and haven't gotten an alert. Seems like an odd oversight. Of course, given that they delivered a car with at best beta quality software, I guess we shouldn't be surprised.....
I don't know if there is a "weather alert" that alert you on the Q50. But, there is a weather info (SXM) with the latest software update (v1.9 or v.0646 or October update, whatever you call it).
So, I was going through the the 2014 intouch manual and found that on page 8-6, we are supposed to have two more weather options, one is "alert list" and one is "alerts map", however I have neither in my car. Can anyone confirm whether or not they have these options in their q50?

There is option for a alert that goes off and say cold temp out side.I have mine disabled.
Does anybody get weather info or fuel prices in Canada? I wouldn't get it in mine with my trial so I never bothered re-upping with Sirius XM

it has never worked for me (ontario). i called sirius for assistance and they had no idea what to do and said its likely something that needs to be set up through infinit. nobody knows and its annoying. im going to the dealership on tuesday to get my splash guards installed so i'll ask them about it in person. somebody else in this thread commented about an october update? i got my car in august and havent updated the os as far as i know so i'll look into that as well.

Sweet, let me know please. I am also going to the dealership on Friday for an oil change, I will ask then but I have a feeling nobody is going to know what I am talking about. I called Sirius a few times back when I purchased the car, none of them knew what I was talking about as most of the time the call is directed to a call centre in India or Philippines. One guy did say once that the service wasn't available in Canada yet..
I'm speaking of severe weather alerts we are supposed to be getting via SXM. There is supposed to be an option for them however their isn't in my car. Does anyone have that option in their q50
On my wife's 2016 QX50.. it actually gives vocal alerts about traffic and weather.. but it's more like the G37 or M37 system... NON-InTouch!?

It uses NavWeather and NavTraffic... it's a different package than what the Q50 uses... we have to actually go into that menu to select current weather and traffic... weak!
Well, I spoke with Infiniti Consumer Affairs regarding severe weather alerts and was told that although Infiniti's website, Siriusxm Website and the intouch manual for the 2014, 2015, and 2016 q50 says the car is supposed support severe weather alerts, it is not an option for the intouch system. I was told the options listed in the intouch manual were a misprint. I was also told that adding the feature will not happen because it would be too much of a hardship. Disappointed with the intouch system at this point.
My wife's 2012 IS 350C gets weather alerts and such properly and that system sucks... though in many ways it still beats InTouch!
All the SXM Weather Server does is allows you to manually go the "SXM Info" and you MANUALLY select "Fuel Prices", "Stock Prices", "Automobile Weather" and a few other options. Within the weather selection, you can select "Current Weather", Weather Forecast" and a couple of other options... it includes various radar maps, weather forecasts and current condition maps similar to the Weather Channel app for your phone, but NO weather alerts... spoken or via alarms.

About the closest it comes to it is the chime notification for when it's cold outside (below 37 degrees) on the instrument cluster display!?!?!?
