Not so much a problem as it is a question but this seemed like the place to post. I want the weather mats in my 18 Q50 as opposed to the carpet mats. I found a deal on ebay but they are for a 2017. Is there a difference between the mats in 2017 and 2018??

Thanks.

I think you may be better off with WeatherTech or the Tuxmat. The OEM ones are just ok.

For what it's worth, I would not buy my Tuxmats again. A tip...pay attention to where you keep your left foot when you drive. Is it all the way up on the dead pedal? WeatherTech only covers the dead pedal part way up.

I think it sprinkled a little bit overnight this past weekend here is S. CA.

I've had a set of the OEM all-weather floor mats and I wouldn't buy them again. They don't cover the entire footwell like the aftermarket mats do. I have a set of the WeatherTech and TuxMats floor mats. I prefer the TuxMats. The WeatherTech mats look like a Rubbermaid dish drainer base. The TuxMats look better, secure better and I haven't had any problems with them.

I read that as "I think I sprinkled a little bit overnight..." and I was going to recommend a product to you.

Yeah not a fan of the weathertech but does anyone know if 17 mats will fit and secure in a 18? Looking to do something tonight. Been raining about 2 says in DFW with another day scheduled.

All I know is I am sick and tired of seeing that smug bald dude at the front of every 6-page Weathertech ad in the middle of all my Car & Driver and Road & Track magazines.

To answer your question. No they will not fit.

The holes in the mats are not large enough.

Ended up getting the factory ones off fleabay for $80.
Now I just need to wash it since it has been raining the last 3 days.

Thanks. I will probably try this brand next time. My Tuxmat is wearing where my right heel rests on it. The heel pad is not big enough or is not properly positioned.

I keep telling you that you have to stop wearing hobnail boots while driving.

You’ll be fine with the OEM mats. Although other manufacturers cover more area, they are often thinner and develop holes much easier.
