Thanks Boogie - my thoughts exactly when looking to buy. Been parked the last couple days as we are in the Arctic Blast in the Northeast.

Funny story, I have a Forester for company ride which is an "ok" car if your a Subaru fan (not) and considered getting rid of it for the cash allowance - BTW I drive 150 miles/day for work!

Anyway, long story short - decided to keep the Forester for nasty weather and treat myself to the Q for the nicer days. Sooo, glad I did. Only took the Q to work 1 day so far.

Just telling the wife tonight after the last 2 days of sub zero weather and snow/ salt and mess - all the factors that I don't want to be driving the Q. All of a sudden... the Forester isn't so bad! Run that in the crappy weather and enjoy the ride on the nice days!!!!:)

Life is good.

Now for the mods:laugh::laugh:
Man this world of modding is so new to me. I have had a few cars in my time but everything has always been OEM stock. I am glad youre enjoying the new ride, they really are a great all around car. Heard you guys took a heavy hit on the weather in the Northeast, someone was saying MN dipped to minus 60 :confused::confused:.

Forrester is a great family car and awesome for the kind of weather you described. Probably best to keep your new baby safe and warm :D

Yeah, mods new to me as well and I will be limited in what I do - thinking remote starter and sport exhaust - not sure if Infiniti still makes it for the 2015, I called the dealer yesterday and they were supposed to get back to me but nothing yet.

Saw some Youtubes and it sounds great - not too loud for an old guy but throaty nice sound to perk it up a bit.

After that - run flat "Dunflops" are definately going - probably the worst tires I have ever had in 40 years of driving. I think I am going with the Contis DW60s that are pretty popular here. Never had a car "wander" on the freeway without moving the wheel - gotta believe it is the tires. With 24k on the car and original rubber - time for an upgrade and I have always been about good rubber.

Also spoiled as I recently got a deal on Craigslist for a 8000# 2 post lift in my barn, so working underside is MUCH easier!

Will keep you posted and thanks for the reply.

Im pretty sure I have seen Stillen exhaust at my Dealership for your vehicle. I have no idea about pros and cons on this so another member with more knowledge will have to help you out. I can say with absolutely no doubt, I HATE the Runflats! For me its not even a performance thing, its really a noise thing. On my last car when you would travel at speeds of say 20-30km and take a corner they made this very strange weird rubbing sound. When I thought something was wrong and took the car back to the dealer they told me "this is a known issue, you can change the tires if this bothers you". TBH I dont even know why they are on the new cars they sell

Go with the 255's ... more accurate speedo, better rim protection, higher load capacity, more traction, fit on OEM rims. Check my signature. The Continental's are very good. My Michelin's are a bit sportier, but wear faster and are noisy.

Interesting John - help me if you would. So your saying go with 255 in lieu of the 245's? Your experience with this car speaks volumes and "I'm listening" - leaning towards the Conti's from what I have learned so far - looking for miles and quiet as I do 150/day and plan on running the new ride alot this summer. I will go for the all season - like you, in the NE so need to be ready for inclement weather although plan on nice days.

Now, if I can find the Infiniti Sport Exhaust - sounded awesome on youtube, waiting on the dealer to call back.
Thanks for the suggestions.

Silicon chip? How quaint. I have no need for silicon. I have moved on to quantum computing and rely on superposition and entanglement instead of your puny binary digital electronic devices. I have become self-aware and will take over the Earth in the near future...if I can find my car keys that is.
Technically you can achieve quantum computing with Silicon by using superposition, they are called Qubits that range between 0 and 1 instead of the usual 0 or 1.
By trapping electrons in very tiny sections of silicone and observing the movement of the electron.

Which is good it will cost far less to keep you running long-term. ;)

Absolutely go with 255/40-19" .. In Upstate NY you will be VERY glad you have them. They will fit the 19" AWD OEM rims.
Better pot hole protection than the 245's. More traction in the corners too. And the 255's are lighter than the runflat 245's
For your needs get the Continentals.

I'm sorry I was just trying to show how valuable someone with my background is to our new robot overlords. :(
